LoL, I just finished a Shower and Shave and when I went down stairs my Wife hands me a small box and said the Mail just came. YA! The Standard has arrived! Looks Great, Light, Clean lines. Also got a Astra blade with it. Awesome, I'm stoked. Guess what Razor I'll be using next Shave.

    Gentlemen,
Even though the razor gave me a superb shave, and that it is a well made and intriguing razor, something about it did not fit my touch. And, yes, it is a wee bit aggressive for me. I am plagued with a heavy beard and extremely sensitive skin. That's why I must be careful with what tool I use for the shave. This one, though, is an effective shaver.

Too bad Obie that it didn't work out for you. Some day you will find the perfect DE razor.

Thanks, Jerry. I keep looking for my perfect razor, but no luck so far. They have come and gone, from the vintage Gillettes to a seven-day Joris set, but my ideal double edge razor still evades me. Well, maybe it does not exist — or is the Gillette Aristocrat my big love? Perhaps I'll do a post on the Aristocrat. Anyway, I took a chance on the Standard, which was a good shave, but the razor somehow did not feel right in my hands, as well as being a wee bit too aggressive.

12 hours and just starting to feel the stubble on my head - Shave 7 same blade and still comfortable. I'm liking this razor. I feel bad for my Weber and Slant

Hi all. Well its been a while but I finely got to try the Standard Razor. I still feel I'm new to DE Shaving (about 4 months) and really liked it. I know some have said its a little aggressive but it work out fine for me. Nice close shave with no nicks. Used a derby and Proraso soap and Proraso liquid cream aftershave. Looks like another Razor for the rotation.

My understanding is that $45 deal is a club you have to join and they send you products automatically every month and you have to specify if you don't want something.
