Thanked: 1077I was thinking about getting a 37C, read nothing but great reviews. Only have one cheap DE that I use once in a while but it would be nice to have a decent one. You have just persuaded me on my next purchase!

Thanked: 3222Yes, the Merkur slant is a very nice well behaved razor. I can see why you would prefer it over the Muhle R41 which is much less forgiving. At least that has been my experience with those 2 razors.

Thanked: 52+1 on the above: IMO, it's a good razor for a good price. I too have the 37C slant in my rotation and also use a yellow 7 o'clock. It's indeed a good razor and always gives a fine shave. It's got a really good heft.

Thanked: 23Received my Merkur 37c yesterday, and used it with a Feather blade and MWF this morning being very careful due to warnings about the aggressive nature of this razor. Shave was very good. No cut. No weepers. No razor burn. Not the work of the devil. I think it is a good addition to my rotation, and I expect the results to be even better.

I started wet-shaving maybe 3 or 4 years back, and the Slant was my first razor. I have never found it to be overly aggressive. It is a regular part of my rotation, along with my straights.
