Thanked: 1Because I don't want to buy an adjustable Merkur - I want to try a fixed head.
Basically I was interested if anyone had charted different brand model shaves against one another. I suggested the Gillette slim adjustable because it's a fairly common razor to use as a yardstick. I think it would be helpful if, before buying a new razor, you had an idea how it stacked up against one you were accustomed to. The table could be a column of Merkur models against their equivalent Parkers, Jaggers or Ikons.

Thanked: 1Tallships - That's perfect! Thank you very much. It also allows me to check that the gaps on my old slim are to spec. I did a tear down on it to clean it and wanted to double check they were still okay.
