I'd argue against using a cheapo Bic, Uzi. I've tried it and it was a terrible experience. Medical prep is one thing, but manscaping properly is a different sport altogether!

Personal experience says go with a mild to medium shaver, make sure you stretch the skin a bit, use a VERY light touch (as if it needed saying), and use a good lather - Mitchell's wool fat is my go-to soap cos of the lanolin content. And make sure you rinse and moisturise properly afterwards. It can itch afterwards and when growing back, but it's probably not as bas as one might imagine. You may want to trim down with clippers first but it isn't always necessary - depends on your razor and blade of choice.
