Thanked: 0Best safety razor for ''downstairs''
What is a good safety razor for shaving the pubes(especially the testicles)? I was thinking of an open comb since the hair is more coarse there? A Merkur 25C?

Thanked: 44My usual go-to is whatever straight tickles my fancy after a fifth of gin and enough time left alone to contemplate the state of my pubes. I usually wake up bald as a badger's a!@e all over and sore as hell, swearing never again will I expose myself to drunkenness, straight razors and ingrown hairs.

Thanked: 2591This is a legitimate question, and those that think it is so funny, research some.

It's kinda funny when this is talked about on SRP. To the younger guys it's a normal thing but some of the older guys don't know what the hell to make of it. It makes them uncomfortable so there lots of jokes. It's very ironic if you think about it. The OP's question is a little too general though. It's like asking what's a good safety razor for shaving your face. The answer is 'it depends'. In my oppinion you should approach this the same way you would with a razor for shaving your face. Start with something middle of the road and figure out where you want to go from there. If you don't shave very often, an OC may be a good bet. All the other aspects of shaving still apply. Prep, lather, razor/blade choice and skin stretching(probably much more important). Think of what you would tell a new set shaver to get for his first razor and that should be a good place to start.

I would think a mild closed comb might be safest, though you can use a straight if you are careful and keep a low angle.

Thanked: 13not that I have any experience with the idea.. so I would uh, THINK, yah, that's it, that if you want to reciprocate the kindness of ya lady...
Trim short with an electric. NO bite at all in a mustache trimmer, to get it close. Makes it easier to see what's going on. After that, c'mon. A disposable. NOBODY wants to put that to a face or leg after it's been there... I find that plain ivory soap is perfect, very slickery, 99 44/100 percent no irritation.
On an unrelated side note, I found my first gray pubic hair yesterday. Normally, things like that don't bother me. Except it was on my Big Mac..
