I believe the razor would produce excellent results as you have pointed out scareface and it is a sweet piece of engineering and materials.

It would be very difficult for me personally to justify $100+ over the price of a Mongoose. And with no competitive blades to help control blade pricing the OneBlade becomes a bit
    more problematic for me.

I have to agree with Bob. on that. Especially since in the event that 'One Blade' doesn't continue, the blades may become unavailable. If the blades were at least a standard manufactured blade that will be around whatever happens with One Blade I'd be more likely to give it a shot. Don't me wrong, I hope the company grows and prospers, just thinking of Murphy's Law.

Scareface, it looks pretty cool, I,m glad it's a well made product. So maybe some of the new guys can go that route when the DE and straight ain't working. Cool, myself I don't know that I could use a pivoting head razor, been shaving since1968 and so far have never put anything that pivoted on my face yet, only DE,s and straights, along with the plastic crap Uncle Sam had for us in the Army, but I got my razor back after basic,, Keep us posted. Jimmy and Bob, the Feather Blade, Valet Auto-Stop-style blade, has been around since the 1920's and is sold on various websites, other than OneBlade (at lower cost as well), including Bullgoose! So IMO, you wouldn't have to worry about blades should OneBlade not continue. However, if OneBlade did not continue, the Lifetime Warranty on the razor would probably also terminate.

The pivot on the head is a non factor. The tension in the pivot is really tight that it is not felt nor needed during the shave.
And, the blades are very abundant and found in bulk all over the place like ironmaned has typed.
You can buy 120 blades at Connaught for around $68 US and $6 bucks shipping.

Thanks gentlemen, that is good to know about the blades. I'm still not ready to spend $300 on another safety razor, but I'm definitely intrigued. As far as lifetime warranties .... when I turned 67 I stopped holding those in such high esteem.

Scareface, Bullgoose Shaving which is a US company sells the blades, 120 blades for $78 and 0 shipping over $80, so you could add another 10 blades @ $6.50 and pay no shipping. The English company, Connaught, prices are listed in pounds on their website and of course would ship from UK. I was thinking of getting my blades from Bullgoose, even though they are slightly more expensive, because of the fact that they are a US company and Phil, the owner, has been helpful to me in the pass. Have you gotten anything from Bullgoose? Comments?

On Connuaght, the prices are listed in pounds. When I selected what I wanted and placed it in the shopping cart and then clicked to go to the next step there was a currency conversion option and shipping cost estimator that let you select USD. This is where I got my info.
I haven't looked at Bullgoose yet, but will.
Also I wonder if shipping will be faster or more accurate within the continental US.
Even through I bought some soap for Italy and it made it to my doorstep with in three days of being shipped.
