I got 3 shaves before it started tugging.

Smoking too much peyote does make you start seeing things!

Very interesting! I don't see any other vendors other than One Blade that carry the razor "set". On their site they offer 2 "collector" razor sets that sell for over $1,000 each! I am a little skeptical for seeing a "new" razor company selling collector sets for those big bucks! Was the One Blade better than your Mongoose? I have a Mongoose that I just bought (haven't use it yet). Also I like thebigspendur's comment about "pivoting heads". Anyone else here tried the One Blade?

Nice review, and tempts me but ....... the standard model would be the one I would go with if I didn't already have the Mongoose. Not to mention all of my slants, straights and what have you.

For the discriminating collector the one for $1,000.00 is the entry level, the 'black blade @ $2,500.00 .......... now that is the 'ultimate'.

They ought to call those The P.T. Barnum editions AFAIC.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm with Jimmy on this one . . . . . . . really don't have $2,5000 to spend on a razor! IMHO, by offering those two "collector" models, they damaged their creditability . . . .at least with me. I'm a retired CPA and this just doesn't make the "smell test" for me.

The One Blade is the most irritation free razor that I've ever used. I find the shave a little milder than the Mongoose. The pivoting head isn't an issue, and most people seem to enjoy it once they've used it for awhile. It's a very well made and well thought out razor. The only issue for some people is that there isn't a blade choice, as only the Feather spineless blades will fit, although some people are taking the spine off GEMs and are getting many more shaves per blade. I happen to like the Feather blade, and just change the blade after three shaves. The One Blade is a better fit for my beard and skin type than the Mongoose, although I don't find one better than the other, just different. However, I only use an SE or DE when I'm rushed and don't have time to use a straight, or when traveling.

If you even pause to think about the price/longevity of blades you can't afford one of these......

The collectors addition has nothing to do with the base model razor and its function.
I guess you don't drive then, or live in a house, or buy clothes, or groceries then?
All of these have massive upgradable models or items!
It's a shame that their creating a so called collectors item doesn't pass your smell test and ruins their credibility when wet shaving tends to be a collectors hobby. One really does only need one razor, one soap and one bowl, etc..... Surprised your not telling everyone how frivolous they are and how it doesn't pass your smell test when they purchase multiple items since your profession tends to count pennies.
Life is to short to let small things build skepticism.
And, I haven't met an accountant yet that hasn't had upgradable services and charged for them. I need to find that accountant that will do my monthly books for only the price of doing my year end taxes.

Sorry that I got your gander up, Scareface, but this is still America and we are all privileged to voice our opinions, which I did! Enjoy your razor!

    You didn't!
Just stated my opinion, just like OneBlade has about charging for their collectors edition.
I just found it funny that someone that has an occupation dealing with capitalism had capitalism not pass his smell test.
