Still too much money for me but I would very much like to acquire an alumi-goose.

Get tha alumni-goose! I love my mongoose. I shaved all this week with the OneBlade all week just because of this thread and to check blade life.

Fourth shave on the blade was a no go. The blade had horrible pull on the first stroke. Seeing how removal of the blade is hard on my OneBlade I grabbed the already loaded Mongoose.

Judging by my track record I might end up with one of these things. There is a part of me that thinks this is all nutso. Coming from depression era parents, who inculcated me with,"He who buys what he does not need, will someday need what he cannot buy," and not only not talking to 'my accountant', never had one, the idea of spending $300 bucks on a razor to shave with, when I already have a couple of hundred of them, is crazy. Like I said, that never stopped me before, so we'll see.

LOL, I'll at least wait until you've got a few shaves under your belt (figuratively speaking) before I convince myself I need one of these.

I have had a couple of shave under my belt. The first time was not planned and a coworker did it for me. The second time he came in and I told him I knew what to expect and used a straight to do it myself. He laughed and said I did a good job!
