    Default Dull feather blades

    Hi all,
I have been using feather blades for almost two years and liked them after the first time I used them, close easy shave no rash.
I purchased a larger box of 20 packs of 5 blades rather than small packs more regularly.
With this pack it is like a totally different blade to all the others I have used, dull and not shaving well at all, I don't normally get blood spots but with this batch it looks like a hundred pin pricks and feels like a I have sand papered my face and it burns. I have never had this before in my years of shaving. I tried a couple of other brands and had no problem then revisited the feathers today and it was the same problem right away.
I previously went through a few of the feather packs randomly sampling and it seems every second blade is kind of ok but not like the feathers I am used too.
Does anyone know if there was a bad batch or anything like that?

No idea if there was a bad batch or not. I guess it can happen though. Have you contacted who you bought them from and explained your problem?

They are all machine made so it's unlikely however I guess something could be out of alignment or something and there could be a bad batch. Have you checked them under magnification?

I have not contacted the seller as a bit of time has passed now. I put them aside and tried some other brands.

If you do contact them let us know, I've never had a bad blade from feather, it's the only blade I use in my DE,s anymore,, plus my feather RG. But I,m good on blades for a few years I bought a bunch years ago so I can't attest to the new ones other than the single edge which has been recently and they were great. Tc

Perhaps try the feathers in another razor to check for any alignment problems with your main DE.
