    Ok round 2:

Another early morning shave 5:30 this time started work a bit later today.
Used a Nacet stainless steel blade. I was a little dubious of it because the crocodile logo made me think they were some cheap Egyptian blade but upon opening the packaging it said made in France, so I was a little less nervous (remember my first blade in this journey didn't go so well.)
Used the same Gillette adjustable Black Beauty set at 2, proraso pre-shave cream and Arko soap.

    The shave:
It was very comfortable give it top marks for that
It was very close pretty much as good as any DE blade Ive used
There was no cuts/nicks etc which considering it was 5:30 AM is impressive
All in all I give this blade am 8-9 on 10. Will keep using it and see how many shaves I get from it But I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone

    postscript:
Apparently these are Gillette blades when I looked them up on the internet.

Gillette has factories all over the world and many of the blades they produce do not carry the Gillette name at all.

Did my 2nd shave with the nacet today. I was planning on having a nice straight razor shave as I only started at 9:30 but I, like many a fool before me just checked out the internet for a minute and qucikly ran out of time. Decided to use the DE and rushed it. Still felt comfortable and was close but in my haste I did manage to nick myself and get a few weepers. I am not passing any judgement on the blade for this shave as any mishaps were all caused by yours truly.

As to the French, I have the same complaint when I go to France, people pretend they dont understand me. Of course it is here in Quebec that we speak proper french and in France they have changed their language so much it is hard for us to understand them sometimes.
The ONLY DE Razor I have found that suits a Feather to perfection is the Edwin Jagger DE89. All others, even the Merkur 34c (that has a fairly mild blade reveal) tests your skill a bit with Feather. That Jagger Razor has a very mild blade reveal and the way it is designed, it forces the blade to be a little more forgiving. Even so, you have to let the razor do the work. Push it with a Feather, and you end up with razor burn or cuts/nicks.

This being said, it's FUN (IMO) to do what you are doing. I try new blades all the time, and not just top shelf blades. I keep switching favorites because of these tests. I was on a Bolzano kick for a while, then Voskhod, then Viking. Currently Supermax Blue Diamond Titanium is a favorite of mine.

Keep exploring. Have fun. Shave well.

    Thanks for your reviews, AlanQ.

There's been a lot of talk about Feather blades in this thread.
So far, I haven't found a blade that gives me a good shave and no irritation in my MingShi2000s. This occurs no matter which prep, soap or setting I use (0.5 to 3). So far, I used BIC, Feather and Personna blades. Oddly enough, a Feather blade wasn't very different in that regard.

By the way, Sharpologist has a good article that recommends the first few shaves with a mild razor, then use an adjustable for the following shaves.

I got a total of 5 or 6 shaves from the Nacet, last shave was still good but I hadnt used the DE for a bit so today I changed the blade for a supermax super platinum
Used my Gillette adjustable Black Beauty set at 2, proraso pre-shave cream and Arko soap same as before. Gotta keep the variables down after all

    The shave:
Super smooth on my face, no tugging, pulling weepers in fact it almost felt like there was no blade in the razor probably the smoothest blade ive ever used.
Closeness cant be sure as I havent used a DE for a bit but I think it wasnt quite as close as the nacet
All in all I rate it as high as the nacet, 8/9 on 10, Seemed smoother but maybe not quite as close a shave.
    I would recommend these blades

last shave with the supermax wasnt very comfortable. Sorry I didnt keep track of how many shaves it gave me

Next balde is the Ming Shi MP-036
Used my Gillette adjustable Black Beauty set at 2, proraso pre-shave cream and Arko soap again.
Was not the most comfortable blade but I dont want anyoen to get th eimpression it was uncomfortable say 7/7.5 outta 10 on the comfrot scale
As to closeness it was quite close again mayeb not top marks but up there.
All in all I think these are OK blades but not great blades. I would buy others before these but if on vacation or something I had to cheese between these or some other unknow Id definetly pick the Ming Shi blades.

Overall Id give them a 7.5 on 10
