    Nice. Never seen that one before. Winding with every pass does sound like a pita. Since it looks like a DE does it just vibrate? I don't see any way to have spinning blades.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

    It vibrates, then after about three minutes reverts to a very heavy, very thick-handled safety. The Patent is from the 40's, they were produced from then until the 70's ..

    I have a battery driven DE that vibrates. I gave it a test shave. Gimmick for sure but I had to give it a try.
    Same thing, a very heavy DE in the end

    Another detail about the flare tips... US made razors the blue tip was very mild, non colored or standard was medium and red tip was the most aggressive of the flare tips. In the British made there were 3 different levels too except it was just the markings of I II or III on the diamond stamped bottom part of the plate. Hope that explains what I was saying earlier about the stamps as I have the II model.
