Classic Cobra
Anyone tried the Cobra Classic? It's an injector style safety razor that uses Feather AC blades. I ordered one simply based on my positive experiences with various "featherjectors", which are Schick injectors with cut down Feather AC blades. Some of the guys over on one of the safety razor intensive forums are using them with good success.

Thanked: 1079Hi,
Reading some of the reviews on B&B,TSD I would say its an aggressive razor comparable to a str8 in certain respects. The only down side it only accepts Feather blades and you can't use regular injectors. The razor is made in the US and only sold through Classic Shaving but the price is high @$125. If the price was lower and blades were available at more places I probably would have bought one.

Thanked: 1079I heard some very positive things about the Classic Cobra regarding giving an outstanding close shave. And one guy claims the Feather blades lasted more then 15 shaves all very good. Like was mentioned before the negatives are the price and you can only use Feather AC blades and from limited sources. But let us know how it turns out and the shave quality.

I haven't used it much, maybe a couple of times. It appears to be made for the Professional blades as opposed to the Supers (which are a bit wider) that I have. I prefer the Supers in a Feather AC, so I figured go with those. In order to make them fit I ground a little more clearance into the blade holder. They fit fine now. Not a criticism of the razor, I could have just gotten the narrower Pro blades and it would have been fine. It's just that I'm more of a "fix it 'til you break it kind of guy".
It definitely gives a close shave with all the other caveats that go with the Feather blades. Overall, its pretty well made and has a really substantial, heavy feel to it.
