Thread: DE Question

OK I looked around quite a bit before asking and I know this is The Straight Razor Place and all but I can't find much in the way of information on DE razors. Am I just missing a sub forum somewhere or are they just mixed in with every thing.
I have a Gillette ajustable from 1973 and the finish is not bad but not great. it's in very good working order though. I'm thinking of taking it to a jeweler to see if they could re-plate it but I would want to do the disassembly and cleanup then also do the reassembly if i'm going to have it done. I just don't know what is involved in doing this and how hard they are to put back together. Any help would be appreciated.
