Then take out the razor, and clean it with a toothbrush and soap, and any other way you would clean metal.

The sharp edge isn't part of the razor itself, so you don't need to worry about anything other than dirt and soap scum. Infection isn't really much of a worry.
I did what you said and I cleaned them really good, there are still marks on them but I know I scrubbed them really good so as long as they work it doesn't bother me. I think I got a pretty good deal on them I mean, everyone has heard of Gillette's are good razors.
