Rometh,
As with all razors, the 'Best' is a very personal choice.
The previous posters have made some excellent suggestions.
Personally, I might suggest:
1) New build - any razor with the Muhle closed comb head - e.g Muhle R89/106/109, EJ89 etc. Very high quality, lovely finish and highly competent razors
2) Vintage - as has previously been suggested, some form of the Gillette Superspeed - you really cannot go wrong with these razors, and they are a proud part of 'Shaving History'
Don't forget to get a blade sampler pack - most important with a safety razor
Good luck !
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ

I think any EJ with the new head is a great choice as is the feather stainless.

If you want to go a little old school, you cant beat a Gillette maroon tip super speed 1955/56. Its my go to DE.

The 89L has lines running down the handle. Easier, some people say, to hold. I have one and it is a great shaver. Of course, all that has been mentioned on the thread, and I have many of them, are good shavers. It really is a matter of person taste and whether you like a heavier or lighter razor. Looks also enter into it.
Good luck and have fun. I still shave with my DEs from time to time and really enjoy them. IMHO you can get a BBS shave out of them.
