You are not a pest, my friend. You are trying to find out. Now that you have the basic information about blades, personal research will give you your answer better than I. Examine what each vendor is charging for sampler packs and make your selection. For the most part, in my experience, many put together similar combination of blade brands.

Well, I ordered the above sampler I assembled. I am expecting to find that I like a different brand for my head than I like for my face. Thank's for the input everyone.

That is a good grouping of blades. Test them. Also test them with different razors and see what works with what. For instance, in the past few days I have tested a number of blades with my Joris open razors. Super Iridium, one of my preferred blades, bombed with the Joris. The Derby was a beauty. So were Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge yellow packs and Perma-Sharp Super Stainless. I have not tested Personna yet. The Feather was terrible with the Joris. Well, I have grown to dislike Feather blades, anyway. So keep testing the blades and you'll find the right ones for you.

Thanks, very good point. I only have the two DE razors, and one seems vastly superior to the other, but I'll be sure to try both. It would be ideal for now if I found a blade that worked well in the less favorable razor, for either my scalp or face, so I don't find myself swapping blades out as I move from one to the other.

Ideally I intend to begin using a straight on my face, once I get one in working order, and maintain my baldness with the DE.
