True, but I also find that's a dead giveaway of a dull blade.

If you're getting irritation, I can tell you that you do have the right razor. The DE89 is a mild but effective shaver. Try a sampler pack of blades, watch the Geofatboy and Mantic videos on YouTube. Develop your prep, and build a great lather, use the right touch, and the DE89 is a consistent performer.
