    Default New Feather?

I see one of the big supply outfits is selling a new version of the Feather DE. It looks the same to me. Differences seem minor. if you look better have some smelling salts nearby, the price will make you pass out. har har.

I saw that, thebigspendur. I don't know how different it is from the older version of the Feather. If you notice, the lettering on the shave head has different coloring. The question is this: is the shave a wee bit more aggressive or is the change only cosmetic? Let's see what some of our members have to say about the razor. And, yes, the price almost near of that for the Pils.

Personally, I wish they sold the stand individually.

Gentlemen, from what I read on other forums, the Feather AS D2 gives a better shave than its predecessor, the D1, although it is still a mild razor. From I also read, the workmanship is impeccable. I have bought and sold four Feather AS D1 razors. In a moment of madness I might get this version, and the stand along with it. Such a handsome razor needs a stand of its own.

I am one of those shavers that appreciate a mild razor. I have the AS D1 and enjoy using it. I also bought an iKon baseplate and now have two razors, the Feather and an iKon OSS. The head on the new Feather is no longer compatible with the iKon baseplates. I consider this a bit of a loss for the D2 versus the D1. Just my opinion though and I am sure it's a fine shaver.

Obie, if you spend all that money on that razor and stand I think your avatar is going to lose some of it's feathers.

Cool stand. Great idea. I might just get a hunk of brass or stainless and make my own. Throw it in the drill press if I ever get motivated enough, which is doubtful.
