Hey man that's a great offer. I would feel strange borrowing one. I have been eyeing a few. Thanks for the offer but I really don't think I could do that. My luck I would damage it or something stupid. Im going to get one or two an try them. I am trying to get the hang of switching from my DE blades.

Thanked: 7Whatever you are comfortable doing. My first was from Larry at Whipped dog....a good place to start.
My razors are being touched up by an expert and then I'm going to give it another go. Right now, I think I like the shavettes better: they are sharper and require no maintainance. But I'm trying to keep an open mind about it. Nonetheless, my straights may be on the market at some point.

Well I ordered my first straight an strop today. So gonna compare it to the dread. Which I am actually really starting to enjoy. Great price an works really well. Will keep using it for sure. An cigar if you decide to sell your straights let me know. May be ready to add to the collection at that point.

Thanked: 7Sounds like a plan. I'll be interested in hearing how it goes with the straight, in comparison to the shavettes. Good luck, and have fun!! That's the whole reason we're in this, and occasionally I have to remind myself that the sun will still rise in the east and set in the west, even if I don't get a good shave that day.....
