I used to use a Weck to shave the tattoo area on customers before the germaphobes demanded twin blade disposables. At that time the only blades available in the local beauty supply were the Personna. I tried shaving my face with one and it was no go for me. AFAIC the Personna blades weren't even very good in shaving an arm or a leg on a customer.
The vintage Weck blades were much better when I could score some NOS on the bay. Referring to shaving the tattoo area, not my face. The Weck was pretty well made, but the frame is plated and will rust if you're not careful. A novelty but not something I would want to have to use as a personal shaver.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 4830My thought was that if I found some decent blades for it or it I could tweak some blades for it that it might be good for short trips, so there would be less stuff to pack. I have no idea if it is going to work for me or not. All in due time I suppose.
