    Default Bad blade in pack?

I shave with a Parker pr1 shavette, I've had a half dozen or so great shaves
with it, but when I opened a new de blade, Derby was the brand, and put it
to my face no matter the angle or how light the pressure I got all kinds of
weepers with a good deal of blood!!
I played around with the mix of lather from thick to thin and kept getting
the same hurtful results. So I thought maybe not me but the blade might
be at fault. So my next shave I kept every thing else the Same, but
pulled a different blade from the same pack of blades, and lo and behold a
great bloodless shave!! My question is have any of you gentlemen had the
    tha Sam weird experience??
Thanking you in advance for your time, I still am,

Haven't used a shavette, but I've had "BAD" DE blades. You got to figure with mass machine produce products quality control is going to fail at some point.

Hope fully the remainder of the pack is good to go.

It happens all the time... For instance, this is why I never judge a blade before I've tried at least 3 different ones.

Sounds like you got a clunker. It happens with everything. If the defect was bad enough to cause weepers, you would probably be able to see it with magnification.
