Thread: Beard care?

I occasionally wear a beard as well, usually during a good old Canadian Winter.

Once my whiskers are long enough to be considered a beard I use shampoo on my face (in the shower, of course) to keep it clean. I don't like using conditioner in my beard because the wax makes my skin feel greasy afterwards and clogs pores, causing acne. Many hair care sites recommend to avoid washing your beard with shampoo every day, as it strips the hairs of natural oils.

Other than that I use a beard trimmer to keep the lines neat and to tame the unsightly stragglers.
