Phrank, I have a Spike Wedge and a Carl Monkhouse Wedge and can't wait for them to come up in my rotation. Wedges and full hollows are my two favorite grinds. Go figure, both ends of the spectrum. Yes, a wedge is quiet but if you listen closely it is singing basso profundo while the extra hollow are singing soprano and sometimes counter tenor its so pure a sound. Enjoy the wedge!

Thanks Razorfeld! When I received my W&B wedge, which said it was shave ready, it wasn't, suffered my first good cut. Then I received the DD Satin Wedge from here, again, another disaster.

So, when I received the razor back from Glen, it was with some trepidation that I used it. Performed really nice...as I mentioned, think I'll have to try it a few more times to get to understand the blade, but your comment is reassuring that it will turn out to be a great blade.

    Thanks!

This makes you wonder, what draws you to the razors that you use more regularly than others? Is there a difference in shave or is it something else?
