I'm officially a straight shaver now
I've been using straights for a while now...it's gotten to the point to where I really don't think about what I'm doing and the movements are automatic. I don't go for BBS but DFS is the order of the day. Anyhow, I wanted to try my old Merkur slantbar today. Resulting shave...close but with 5 nicks. I haven't nicked my self 5 times in the last 3 months with my straights! Oh well, back to the straights I go.

Yeah, there is nothing like a properly honed straight in experienced hands
DE's are fine, and I use them now and then, but the straight razor is what brings a smile on my face while doing the most mundane chore known to man!Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Good to hear, as I have been having the same experience with my SRs. Of course it's also bad news for me since I just received my DE yesterday as a back-up for my Mach xxx, for which I'm running out of cartridges, and will buy no more. When I use it, I'll be careful and will post my experience.
