I did similar damage to two razors. The 1st I hit on the fawcet and the second I dropped on a rug. Unfortunately there was a screwdriver on the rug. In both cases, damage was a small dent less than the width of the bevel. Honing on my 1K King eliminated the damage to my two used razors. I finished on a King 6k, Norton 8K and diamond pasted strops. They would have been sent to a pro if they were new or if I did not have backup razors.

Thank you guys again.
If you're in Nebraska all is not lost. You could try a member search of that state but failing that there are other options. Nun2sharp and Lynn are southeast of you in Missouri. Other options include Max in Las Vegas, NV and GSSixgun in Idaho. Since your mail service is a lot more efficient than Canada's I wouldn't worry too much about turn-around time.

I really want to thank the community here your expertise has been a huge asset. I know when its time to hand it over to the pros and that is exactly what i am going to do, i used your database to look up Lynn and i purchased the razor sharpening from his website. I look forward to getting my razor back and shaving with this amazing razor again.
Thank you guys again for all the input!
