I did a 2+ pass with an old Wosty near wedge the other day and it lasted almost 3 days, compared to my other razors which are good for 2.
Now I gotta hone up another of my old Sheffields to see if I can get the same result.

Actually I have a pretty decent beard. Currently just shaving the cheeks and neck.
Oh, and I have a Granddaughter almost 15 years old.

Cheeks and neck I can miss but not the chin…

Best not to shave the Grandaughter as she won't thank you in later life….. LOL

If I shave right off ATG I get a very smooth irritated face. Its not a comfortable thing to do, but it works. I don't like to shave like that, is more about comfort for me. Recently I have been trying a WTG then ATG shave and that for me is uncomfortable too following the shave.

TBH I'm still trying to find out the best way I can achieve the closest shave with no irritation at all.
Same for me, kevinred. After one pass WTG/XTG it looks kind of ok, but it doesn't feel ok. If i just go one pass ATG, i too get a "smooth but irritated face". Another thing: I like to take my time and enjoy my shave, so why stop after only one pass? ;-)

Oh, besides, I had already found the thread. Sorry I didn't tell you.

I'm proud of you. Let's see if I'll remember taking a pic of my crappy bike.

Showing off things you are genuinely proud to have is not a bad thing IMO. It is just that, pride.
Now as to the shave, I go with 2 passes usually WTG and hybrid XTG unless it's an important event or date night with the misses.
Tried a few pre shave oils and dropped them in favour of conditioner on the face in the shower. Works great.
I found those oils made the trimmings stick to the sink wall during shaving much worse than the slight improvement in slide warranted.
Chin/lower lip area is still the area I struggle with re:cat scratch looking nicks, but my new smiling blade really makes that area much easier to work.
Only been about 8 months I've been SR shaving so still taking it cautious, but best shaves of my life were achieved with a single 3" blade..
    Cheers.

Supposing you meant that for me, I was just playing with Ed. He didn't know how to post links until just now, that's what I commented on. As for his bike, it's much flashier than mine
