I seem to remember a 3 stooges episode where the straight razor was used. Your "Curly" picture reminded me of that!

They hold more soap/cream before you have to rinse them.

I don't remember if I chimed in on this subject or not. A lot of experienced shavers prefer the larger blades. As an inexperienced shaver that was really having trouble wielding the blade, the larger razors got more whiskers. Now as an experienced shaver who has finally tamed the blade, I prefer the 5/8 razors. I like the light, agile qualities it gives me.
