The palm strop is the best you can get. If you nick it, it repairs itself. Brilliant.

Very good advice in those old razor instruction sheets! Please note that they said to keep the razor "quite flat" when stropping, not "completely flat." It is a subtle but very important distinction!

Yeah I see what you mean - the last article also says to "wipe razor quite dry", which wouldn't mean "almost dry." Originally Posted by onimaru55
