    An update to this one.

I've only done ATG 1 pass shaving since I put this thread up.

I'm nearing a month in now. And so far no problems for me. It might be my hair skin combination but it seems to be working with less irritation than the 3 pass shave.

Lather wise I've only been using good high glide stuff. I've tried palmolive stick, TOBS eton, Bodyshop macaroot, Ingram cream. They all worked well. I also tried some Edwin Jagger lime It didn't have enough glide and caused a bad pass, I cleaned up and used palmolive for the rest of that shave.

Razor wise the single best one in my rotation is the 7/8 extra hollow. With a close second from the Joseph Rodgers near wedge. The worst shave was from the 6/8 Joseph Elliot near wedge. It just wasn't sharp enough to perform this shave and I think the weight of that razor was causing me to use bad angles, It's my only heavy scaled razor.

All the razors have had different final edges.

The 7/8 extra is currently rocking a thuri edge, The Joseph rodgers was running an arkie edge and has been swapped to a silkstone edge. The regular hollow 5/8 and 6/8 have both been finished on my home made diorite hone. All the razors were exceptionally sharp HHT4+, Fresh honed and stropped well.

My hair type is very very fine. There is a lot of it, but it has a fine shaft and is light coloured. Aurburn/white/ginger mix.

I'm going to continue with this technique and post back if anything becomes problematic in the future. For me for the minute this is a winning technique.

I shave daily and still prefer 1 with grain on cheeks and 1 with/1 against on neck. I think my beard (even at 1 day) is just too thick to start off against grain. Starting off against grain for me still causes some irritation.
