35 minutes including shower, two-pass shave, alum block, skin food, brushing teeth, trimming nails, eyebrows, nose and ear hair, and clean-up. Add 5-min for an am BM.
And you thought the mental picture of Rich shaving commando was disturbing
Cheers,
Ed

Thanked: 0Hey! RichZ's marines are a growing band!
Commando is the way to go! Though it adds five mins onto the shave due to the extra care and attention! 35 mins for me at the moment...

I get up 20 minutes earlier so I can get a full 35 to 40 minutes. This includes shower, prep and shave.

I like to shave in the am also, quiet, no one to barge in on me, plus I have gotten up Early all my life. 4:30 AM. I will wake up. Shower, shave, face clean up, approximately 45 min. I love this and do not care really how long it takes me.

Thanked: 90I'm about the same. Funny thing is, the other day, out of curiosity, I timed myself. After I got out of the shower and dried off, I looked at the clock. after I cleaned out my brush and put away the razor (I have a 5yo son and sometimes he has friends over for play dates, so putting away the razor is pretty paramount) It was exactly 13 minutes. I wasn't rushing, either. Of course, I only do one pass and then a second pass only over a few spots.
I think what makes str8 shaving take longer generally is the prep and clean up. It'd probably shave 5 minutes (no pun intended) off my time if I bought a hot lather machine.

The steelwire require roughly: 30 min (stropping/prep, 2 passes, cleaning/drying/stropping) Me and my old fathers barber accuse us have steelwire destroying he's edge... poor man hahahaha! (familything!) I don't like to hurry when shaving or ....... (you know!) When shaving enjoy's to the furthest extent it leaves nothing to be desired, untill ....... I guess I'm hooked here.
feel smooth! /stefan
