Yes, I use my left hand to shave the left side of my face, chin, and neck with the grain (down). However, when I go across the grain or against the grain, I primarily use my right hand for everything. I believe you could train your left to do anything; however, the main reason IMHO for choosing to use the left (or non-dominant) hand for that side is so that you do not block your vision when coming across the face with your arm. Once you have that out of the way, use the hand that gives you the best angle and reach for what you are trying to accomplish.
