OK, following up hone # 2 on the same razor was ok, BUT not great, so I'm sending it off to get critiqued by a honemeister who is going to hone another of my blades. When/if I hear what I'm doing wrong, I'll give it another go and report back.

Thanked: 168From my humble experience i have notice that pastes have to be used very careful. As Mr Lin Abrams said in one honing video- less is better. they are good but can be used only 1 or twice and they do not fix the problem. They haveto be used withowth presure and a few srokes only .
If you have pastes in front of stones use a piece of frosted glass lightly pasted . Rub a piece of glass with 600 -800 grit sandpaper, clean it under runing water well , dry it and paste it with a small amounth of compound. It is important very small amounth but well disperced . You can strop and hone - both directions I think youll like this edge a lot more than a pasted strop .
You never heard this from me , if someone askLast edited by RusenBG; 02-16-2015 at 08:38 PM.
