I think that is where I messed up. I did the initial shave as indicated since it was shave ready from the seller who honed it and got it ready. Then I used the pasted strops to set up for next time. I read somewhere on the net and I know you can't believe all you read that sometimes using paste with create a buildup and a convex bevel that will need to be re-set sometimes. I make have pasted heavy in other words.

I need to fine tune the Dovo now that I have a Shapton 12000 in my possession! I think the bevel is okay but will have a old pro look at it next meet locally to make sure.

I have a RA coming tomorrow or today maybe and it will be ready for shaving so I will give that sweetie a whirl so I know what it should be like. I assume Lynn from SRD hones all razors that go out the door one purchases???
