Default Stropping inbetween sections.....gave me the best shave I have had so far

Yesterday I was reading a thread about someone having a hard time shaving there upper lip.
Some one had told him to shave that area first with a freshly stropped razor. I have a problem with that area as well, along with a few others.

I thought today I would try shaving that area first with a freshly stropped razor. I must say it worked out great in that difficult area. I have never shaved that area with such ease.

I decided I would try to do the same in the other areas and see how it worked out for me.
After shaving the upper lip I dried the razor and stropped it 10 times and shave the right cheek and jaw and neck area. It worked out nice as well. I them stropped and did the same for the left side as well. I then stropped again and shaved the neck area under the chin, it seemed to work out ok but not as well as the others so far.

I then stropped the razor on the nylon section for 20 times and did the same for the leather side. I was now ready to shave my chin and lower lip. My most challenging part to shave. I must say it worked great I also did a lot of skin stretching which helped a lot in that area.

Like I said it was the best shave I have gotten so far with the SR. This is my 4th SR shave that I could go out in public with, with out having to touch up with a DE. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it was actually shorter in time. With 1 pass with the grain I got a 95% bbs shave.

I was smelling myself good and got a little cocky and arrogant and decided to try across the grain and against. Well on my last stroke of across the grain I got a nick, I should have let well enough alone.

I think I might be sorry now I bought that new DE last week. Funny thing though. While I was driving and feeling pretty good about myself and the perfect shave I performed. I was touching my face and noticed a not so perfect spot.

That's the best part of SR shaving..there is always some thing new to perfect.

You may have improved the edge; but you also may have simply expected a better result and been a bit more attentive and so got a better result.

Either way, you have improved your shave!
