I for one apologize for my crabby responses, those who know me will not be surprised cause I don't back up for anything, a trait I,m trying to fix( my wife is trying to teach me tolerance ) but I,m back to normal now, and to his credit go blue has apologized to me, and if he will step back and realize the forum is here to protect new guys I think he might understand why we have shown him a hard time. As for me, not one darn comment about the razor I made! I can't believe it!!!!! My feelings are hurt. Tc

We are not so bad, goblue. Look....Up on the top right corner is a searchbox. Type in your type of razor. See how the threads have gone. Makes no difference your particular brand. Many are coming out of China. Same stuff, different decoration.
Dude, YOU CAN shave with one. I have shaved with a Titan, for certain. Did it suck?
    Yes!
You NEED to get a GOOD razor upon your face. Then, and only then, will you understand what we are trying to impart upon you.

Some of us have stubborn kids 20-30 in age. We just have to keep trying to teach you.
    Just cannot help ourselves!

Baseline Dovos, new-production Fromms, a Grimm....
I tell you, you need a good old vintage razor made in your great, great grandpa's time to understand.
You have to admit it is possible that your perceived success is perceived by YOU.

What have you in your experience to compare with what you are doing/possessing? I think you are settling for less.

Starting to have some sympathy for you. You cannot admit that you simply have nothing of true quality to compare things to.

    Folks. This is sad. JMO

Sigh! We have everything to gain and nothing to lose by telling you the proven truth, goblue!
Do the forum search. Look at the list of razors not recommended, do a search on each!

If you want to save money, go vintage. If you want new, go with quality. This limits you to what we are pushing you toward.
    Quality!

You have to try to see. Plain as that.

Our gripe is that when new guys come around saying this is as good as that with no experience to speak of causes problems with other new guys.
Some older ones as well, I suppose!

Speaking from experience, Dovo, is a good production razor that is not doing due diligence in there QC department. Don't get me wrong,, I have a entry level one that shaves just fine once it was honed properly, just won't go out if my way to get another. As to Grimm, well I,m don't want to start this over again, there are much better and for a lot less money, as I said, I have a 20$ Kinfolks that will shave the dickens out if most razors. It's all about the steel the grind and the guy honing it. I know it's been offered but maybe try out one razor of really good quality and honed properly, then I think you,ll agree, it's not about cost cause unfortunanly there are some razors that are priced beyond their value. I was just lurking and restraining from commenting. Until now.

Making your own makes you appreciate why a custom costs more than $20.
