As I feel like I busted my razor I want a second to compare and will send my first whipped dog out to get rehoned and see where I stand with all of it. If i do decide to keep with the straights then I will most likely invest in some hones and try to learn and restore a max of 4 razors to have a 7 day set along with the new one I would buy

Cheap is relative. A good quality item that lasts 40 years ends up more economic than a cheap item that lasts 6 months.
Have quite a few razors with over 60 shaves on them now, all owe me less than a 4 pack of carts...

I just can't understand why not when it will only cost $12 more. The Torrey in the classifieds went for $55 & didn't have obvious rust or geometry problems unlike some of the sight unseen razors that people have asked me to hone.

I was going for that one had tried sending a message to the seller but I think it didn't go through since I don't see it in my sent box. I also have another member reach out to me who is helping me out.
