Throw all your DE blades in the rubbish bin.
Then you will be forced to master the straight..
My advise

I know what it is to, 95% of my shaves is straight shaving. I still used my DE's once in a while but rarely, a straight shave is not comparable of any other kind of shaving method.

I still use my DE and SE razors, but only when I am in a hurry in the morning, or when I have tried too much with a straight. I still need more time to get a nice shave with a straight and, sometimes, I just don't have that much time. If I have learned one thing since starting with straights, it is not to rush. When I do, that is when I get a bad shave. Some mornings, a safety razor is just a better choice at this point in my development.

Don't ever think you have "Mastered" the straight. It will let you know,if you didn't bring your "A" game.....don't ask me how I know this...lol

Thanked: 7Reading these stories tells me there is hope for me when I finally start using a straight. The more I read, the more comfortable I get in understanding technique and patience. Thanks for sharing.

Thanked: 7Looks like the first thing I will have to adjust is the time of the morning I will get up. When I went fro carts to DE I increased 20 minutes to my shaving routine

I love straight shaving so much that I sold six of my seven Wolfman DE razors to friends, and those were my babies. There's nothing like it. My face feels and look better, the ritual is devine, and the experience is like no other shaving experience.
I still have a few nice DE and SE razors for vacations or for a quick shave, but they haven't seen the light for about two months.
Of course, this is just my own personal experience.

Nice work! Don't say goodbye because the DE might find its way back Into your good graces...especially if you are in a hurry one day
