Goddammit... Shave 7. I usually shave at night when I can take my time. Had to shave in the morning before work and I was probably a little rushed and overconfident. Nicked my left cheek. About the same size as the ear one from last shave... Also not as close of a shave. Yesterday was close and comfortable, but now I'm back to socially acceptable

The nicks happen, but if you're in a hurry be happy it was only a nick.
I and others here have found out, if you're short on time a SR shave isn't the way to go.
This type of shave is a luxury and should be given the time to enjoy it

Never hurts to keep a DE or throwaway and a can of gel handy for emergencies

I learned my lesson. If it's morning and I'm pressed, DE it is. Maybe in 20 years I'll be proficient enough to do a "quick"shave with the straight

A single pass for me takes under 10 mins including prep and stropping, you will pick up speed as you get better

I bet you're only holding the razor near your face for a minute of that
