A one pass ATG shave is very quick and surprisingly effective. Sometimes when I am testing an edge or soap I will do multiple passes but otherwise it is a one pass.

I'm also in favor of the 2-pass shave (WTG, ATG) except that I do an extra pass around the chin and mustache (WTG, XTG, and ATG). I'm also one who only shaves every other day for comfort's sake.
