Thanked: 3795My Dubl Duck WonderEdges have great spike points that are fantastic for making vertical slits in ear lobes. I think they are called WonderEdge because they make you wonder if you cut your ear. Then half a minute later the blood starts and the wondering is over. It's been years since I've done it, but the fine scars are constant reminders.

I've seen this suggestion several times spread through different threads and I don't like it. Why mutilate a razor from its original and intended design? Just get a round point, or learn to use the square point spike as intended.
No offense intended to poster. To OP, didn't happen if no pictures. Show us the blood!A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Muting isn't rounding. When done properly, you can't even see it. Just a stroke on the side of a hone with the tip will make it much less prone to leaving scratches. The muted tip goes back to a spike with subsequent honing. I don't see it as mutilation.

I took a picture in response to your challenge.
Now in my defense, this did occur yesterday or the day before. My tiny red badge of courage is now nothing more than a poor imitation of a freckle.
I'll post the photo and hopefully survive the lambasting.
No, I did not shave this morning.
