Van Helsing, Season 1, episode 11, Sam shaves his face and head with a straight. It's very brief and dark but from what I can see he holds it properly and appears to be doing a decent job.
Alas, we would not want to consider him a role model however.

When I was a kid, we could jump side to side at the theaters to spend all day.
