The riddle of razor steel? Are you a well-shaven Thulsa Doom? At least, I hope this was a Conan reference.

As for straight razor shaving, I like to start each day with an accomplishment- one that requires my full attention to achieve while also relaxing me and setting me apart from the norm. Anything else I face that day will fall in line with the pattern I started from.

As I've posted many times, shaving is an "action" I can take to ensure I fill my life with "experiences" rather than "tasks". Shaving with a straight razor, using a nice brush, a hot scuttle, and a wonderful soap of my choosing, paired with a 150 year old razor, puts me in the exact state of mind to remember to enjoy all the things that will happen in my day, and remind myself not to reduce my life to a series of tasks on a to-do list, but to enjoy all it has to offer.

    Long live Sheffield Steel!!

Well said. It truly can set a state of mind.

I'll strop up one of my Sheffield blades in your honor tomorrow!
