Default Do you look forward to shaving?

I have posted replies about this, how I actually "look forward" to shaving now. It's just fun!

Does anyone else shave and then regret they have to wait a few days before they can shave again?

No, need to shave daily and some times if I am going out in the evening I'll do a touch up shave just to be tidily

Shaving is daily for me, unless i just dont want too on my weekend. But thats the time i ha e more time to shave. So waiting is only 24hrs for me. Somedays i will use more than one razor just to check out the razors edge, but other than that i can wait a day.

I look forward to it. I used to hate it in my electric days. My wife would nag me to shave. I don't have fast beard growth and don't work in a job that requires me to look nice so every other day is fine. If i shave more than that she'll say "are you shaving again?".

I know the feeling about being bitched at. I've been in the bathroom brushing my teeth and washing my face and the wife will come in and say "Shaving again?" No dammit! Only once a day!

I still look forward to shaving every day. I still find myself rubbing my face every day just enjoying the smoothness.

I enjoy it now. I usually have something new to try (soap or razor) or just the "fun" of using a straight is enough.

I use DE's many days and a straight once or twice a week. When I use a straight, sometimes I'll skip a day first. I enjoy shaving with a straight more with an extra day's growth.

After three years of using a straight razor nearly every day, I very much still look forward to my daily straight razor shave. The straight razor takes a necessary task and turns it into a fun and rewarding hobby.

It sure does. Now that I am semi-retired, I can do the whole ritual: shower, hot towel, lather, hot towel, relather, 2- or 3-pass shave, cold rinse, alum block and after shave. Takes about 30 minutes start to finish, but starts the day so nicely. The only problem is that I really don’t need to shave again for two days.

I usually take 60-90 minutes, start to finish, with shower. Ninety-five percent of the time I’m in a truck stop shower room. I no long call them truck stops, but shave stops. Each day is centered around where I’m going to stop for the night so I can shower and shave. OTR driving is only a side task to get to the shave.

BTW, getting loaded in Houston Texas, heading to Carlyle Saskatchewan.
