Thanked: 603Not anymore. The last couple of months I've been going two or three weeks between shaves. And yet, I'm logged-in on SRP at least once each day... usually two or three times. Go figure. But when I do shave, I enjoy it!
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I enjoy shaving in general.
But to be honest, my Sunday shave is the absolute most enjoyable. I have the time, with 2 little ones there's not much of that or no one bugging you, to really have a nice 1520 minute shave.

When I used a cartridge, I hated it and put it off as long as possible. Razor burn, rash, bumps, etc.
Switched to DE and started liking it. Now, trying to learn how with a straight, I look forward to it. I just don't get to every day.

Thanked: 96Robert Duval said " there is nothing like riding into a new land on a fine horse". I agree, except there is nothing like using a fine straight razor old or new, finely honed, with a great soap or cream. The feeling of the extremely sharp blade gliding over your face and feel the smooth results is mystical. I have a custom Mastro Livi Damascus with horn scales that I will take to my grave. It's like looking at a great vintage glass of wine knowing the enjoyment you will get. You only go around once, so enjoy the moments each day above ground.

Let's put it this way. The other day, I put my lather brush in my lather bowl of hot water and headed towards the shower. My wife says "Are you shaving AGAIN?"

Not really. I had been shaving for 45 years or so. It was just something I had to do. Do I like my razors and software?, yes. Look forward to it? Sorry it’s just a morning task.

I do look forward to shaving and I am at somewhat of a loss to explain as to why.
I hate getting out of bed in the morning but that mortgage doesn’t pay itself.
I’m not particularly vain.
And my shaving ensemble doesn’t allow for infinite and interesting combinations.
But for the last 25 years I’ve messed about with straight razors- so- that’s how many thousands of shaves? It’s the simple act of that first swipe on the lathered face- like the flick of the wrist when fly-fishing, the pressing of the trigger when the front sight is snuggled to the bull, the way the tires bite and hold on a tight curve. A simple act, though repeated a thousand times, can be sublime in its unrealized potential and variation of comprehension.
I remain &c

Couldn't wait to shave with a new aquisition this morning. It went so well that I overshaved. Except for a couple weepers, zero bloodshed. Smooth!
