I cannot explain your finding but hair growth occurs well below the surface of the skin.

Could be the onset of Hypertrichosis. I am not a doctor, but you never can tell.

Your whiskers were so excited about the prospect of another superior shave that they
    simply leapt out in anticipation.

All I can say is when I first started with a straight, I was wishing I could shave more, so I could facerbate my fresh, perfect shave.

When you start with a perfect bbs, any hair growth seems like a lot. The finger tips contain the most sensitive and densest nerve endings we have and can detect very minimal differences in hair growth. Or, your hair is growing more quickly after a close shave.

My dad claimed he was going to shave his entire head so that the hair would grow back with increased vigor. He went bald before he had a chance.

This all seems logical. Most likely I've just been paying more attention to my beard and become more noticing of the slightest hair growth. Thanks guys.

I am SR shaving every three days........I think the subject of "how fast one's beard grows" is too subjective for any objective discussion. If one was so inclined though, that would be an interesting study, perhaps for a intro level college science course. *I didn't shave until college so I couldn't have done such an experiment in high school.

"Comparing facial hair growth rates across shaving techniques." It would certainly be different....

Theoman, I suspect your suggestion that you are paying more attention now than before has a lot to do with it. Before SR shaving, I didn't shave that often and my GF hated it. Unlike most women that like beards, she loves a clean-shaven face.
