I keep the bathroom door open, shower curtain closed.

I just let mine steam up. Then after the shower, open the bathroom door, towel off the mirror and blast the mirror with a hot hair dryer. Good to go.

I believe you can wipe it down with denatured alcohol before showering. I have also heard of the shaving soap thing. But also, as recommended, look into the ventilation in the room. If you live in an older home, this may not be an option. I like very, very hot showers and get fog on the mirror. I know that the fan in my bath is pretty crappy. I have taken to leaving the door open for circulation -that helps a bit.

I've always used handsoap with success. So why not a little lather? Wrong move..glycerine smear! The worst part.. the voice from over my shoulder, while fixing the mess.." Might as well get the sink, tub, and pot while you're at it" Rrrrrr!

We had a vent fan installed. That takes care of MOST of it. I also replaced the old 2 lamp cabinet with one of those triple mirror/oak cabinets from Home Depot. It has so many lights on it, not only can I see what's happening but it generates so much heat the mirror rarely fogs up for more than a few seconds (too much heat for MY likes, actually, but the mirror stays clear).

Yeah wiping it is a terrible suggestion due to the fact that the mirror stands directly over the basin. It's not like I can re-direct the steam away from it once it has been wiped.

I am building a new house and putting a heated mirror in the bathroom. If the glass is warm the water won't condense on it. untill I move will continue to use the wifes hairzooka 1800. As for shaving without a mirror I haven't had much luck on my face but do shave my head everynight by feel with good results.
