    Default Mirror

Anyone got any tips on how to keep the mirror from steaming up apart from opening a window or the like..

Have heard of rubbing soap on it etc...

    Any other thoughts?

Also can any of your experienced members shave just as good without a mirror?

I've heard you can use shaving lather...probably works the same as soap.

i had the same problem and found it very frustrating. I have a small bathroom and i like nice hot showers so even with the door open and the fan running, i still got a steamed up mirror. what i did was i bought a little bottle of fog free spray from CanadianTire for about $6. Works wonders but needs to be reapplied after about every 3 showers. You should be able to find something similar in the sporting goods section or a dedicated sports store. probably in the hockey or paintball sections.

I have tried shaving without a mirror and the results were subpar. I found i completely missed some little patches and didn't get as close as usual

I've also heard shaving cream and even shampoo or pick your favorite slime will do the job.
Then there are hair dryers and a wealth of anti fog products but I think you should be addressing why your mirror is fogging up so much.

You may want to install, clean, or upgrade your bathroom fan to cut down on the moisture and keep mold and mildew at bay.

what you could do is make sure the mirror gets warmer, that way it won't get foggy.

Yep, if your wife has a hair drier in the bathroom, blasting that at a steamed up mirror will clear it up in in a few seconds.

Maybe you could CLEAN the mirror. Try some distilled white vinegar applied with a melita (or any other brand) coffee filter. it is amazing how much less condensation forms on a clean surface. when that does not work try "rainx"
    Be just and fear not.

If you still have some canned foam lying around, it works nicely. Rub some all over the mirror.
