Got back up on that horse
I couldn't handle it anymore and had to shave this morning. The slice has closed nicely. I used painting strokes to lather that spot instead of digging in with the brush (I build lather on my face). I got the Dorko out again and had a great three pass shave. I changed my XTG pass on my left cheek to the opposite direction of the slice so that it wouldn't catch on the original cut. Worked great. I'm still going to give it another 48 hours before next shave.

A "flap" of skin? Man, that's gross. And probably painful.
I've been fortunate not have ever really gashed myself with a straight razor (knocks on wood). I've nicked myself a couple of times, but they were so miniscule that cold water would usually make those cuts disappear.
Actually, I seem to have cut my fingers more than anything. A really sharp English razor of mine was passed from one hand to the other one morning and it just slided into the flesh by my thumb nail like it was butter. Made a little centimetre cut. And just last night I was honing a Henckel of mine and as I was pushing it along the stone, I put my left index finger a little to close to the edge and the skin kind of went under the moving blade like I was going over it with a lawn mower or something. I could feel it slice into the skin, so I recoiled, but miraculously, it cut like, half a layer above the pain/blood threshold, so although I could see where it opened a few layers up, it didn't bleed or hurt. So I got lucky on that one.

Been there, done that. Have the scars to prove it. Welcome to the club.
I actually reverted to an electric for a week to allow the cut to heal enough so I wouldn't reopen it shaving with a blade.

Yes, if you want to stop Str8 shaving now and send your stuff to me, I will see that it gets the correct punishment.

I did the same thing on my fifth shave. I documented it here. Pretty much the same idea with the slice and the flap and all, except I did mine with a round tip that was freshly sharpened. Imagine a sharp shovel in soft dirt and you'll get the idea. It is a right of passage so congrats!
