Sliiiiiice....oh oh... stypic pen isn't going to stop that one!
I had my first showstopper today. I had just finished touching up the Dorko, stropped and started shaving. First WTG pass on my right cheek, brilliant. Crazy smooth crazy sharp. All signs pointed to the beginning of a remarkable shave.
Finish up right side, switch hands, go to first WTG pass on my right cheek and SLIIIIIICE. A little to much sweep instead of stroke with some not-very-careful skin stretching and I wind up with a clean 3/4" slice on the cheek, with a lovely 1/16" flap of skin. The blood starts coming out. My first thought? "Dammit...I'm not going to get to do more than one pass".
After I contained the bloodletting (no styptic was going to stop this one), I went through about three bandaids before I could keep one work presentable. So today I'm walking around the office with a bandaid on my face wondering, how i'm going to manage tomorrow's shave."But you're not as confused as him are you. I mean, it's not your job to be as confused as Nigel. "

Ya know guys all these blood and glory or is it gory posts might tend to discourage someone from trying a str8.
At least mention how painlessly a well sharpend blade cuts.

Thanked: 1587Sounds like that one might leave a scar. That's a bummer BrianP. I'd recommend not shaving for a couple of days until it closes over a little bit, at least.

Been there Done that.. Oh man it is nasty when that happens. I also suggest letting it rest a bit, and send that bad Dorko to me as punishment

Thanked: 1587I know mate, I know. It's just that I know from personal experience that going back too early only reopens the cut, and shaving around it doesn't work as well as it sounds (particularly if the cut is in a "hair growth" area - looks weird if there's a little patch of stubble on an otherwise clean shaven face).
Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Thanked: 21A good idea to have some of the BandAid superglue stuff (I think they call it Liquid BandAid) around for times like this.
