I shave around 7 a.m. With my old Mock3/Edge gel setup, I would look terrible by early afternoon. By 5 p.m. I definitely had that "need to shave" look goin' on...
Now I don't get my former 2 p.m. look until late in the evening--maybe 9 or 10 p.m. I can feel stubble by the late afternoon, but it's not visible.
BTW, matt, I feel your pain on the BBS thing. I have been at this for a year and haven't gotten to 100 percent BBS. My face is pretty angular, and I think there are just some spots that I can get completely clean without causing razor burn.
The weird thing is, though, that my shaves still last longer than they did with the Mock3. That thing must have been even worse than I remember...

I go 2-3 days without a shave. Not because I can, but because I have to! Slow beard growth, and only down the midline (upper lip, chin, neck -- nothing on face or cheeks).
When I used a Muck3 I used to count it as a blessing. Now I wish I could shave more often.
I shave at 9.00 pm and it's 48 hours minimum before there's enough growth to go again. The benefit is being able to take my time at night, doing the whole extended prep thing every time.

Thanked: 0I am with you Mark!
One other good thing about shaving at this rate is if you cut your face the last time you shaved, it gives it plenty of time to heal before you go hacking at it again

I shave every workday in the morning. On weekends, it depends when I take my shower. If I'm going out, I usually shave again when I shower for the evening. Generally, just a one-pass in the evening will do.
